A Letter From the Chapter President
This past fall at FarmHouse marked another fun, eventful semester for the fraternity. The men kicked off the year by hosting an ice cream social for hundreds of members of the K-State community. 27 new members were successfully initiated in October. Members enjoyed a great turnout at the annual Alumni Barbeque. FarmHouse had the unique opportunity to host men’s basketball coach Jerome Tang for dinner. Fright Night, a haunted house philanthropy event, raised over $3,000 for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The house also held two date parties. The semester concluded by singing Christmas carols to the sororities. Another highlight was attending the K-State football games, featuring trips to the Big 12 Championship Game in Arlington, Texas and the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana. For the spring semester, the men of FarmHouse will remain focused on the mission of building men and having progress mark every step. The house aspires to sustain its academic status as being among the top fraternities in GPA. Three recruitment events are expected to take place in the spring. Through the recruitment process, the house hopes to form a pledge class of approximately 25 new members. In addition, Mom’s Weekend will take place in April. Two date parties will occur along with two philanthropy events. The house will strive to build on its engagement with the fraternity and sorority community by holding joint events throughout the semester. Although a new semester, along with a new year, brings change and new beginnings, much remains the same at 1830 College Heights. Kansas State FarmHouse at its core will continue to be a home for growth, brotherhood, and faith.
Fraternally,
Trent Dodge
