Frequently Asked Questions
The FH Month of Giving is an opportunity for FarmHouse brothers and friends to celebrate FarmHouse’s impact on its members and inspire pride in the Fraternity, while encouraging healthy competition between chapters, all to the benefit of FarmHouse.
All gifts made to the FH Excellence Fund during April count for the FH Month of Giving. As the Foundation’s largest source of financial support, the FH Excellence Fund advances the Fraternity’s top educational priorities of enhancing the membership experience, promoting growth and advancing excellence. Your giving makes possible values-based leadership opportunities,
hands-on learning experiences, mental health and well-being support, dedicated professional staff, research and other vital resources.
The 2025 FH Month of Giving, donors gave $416,843 to the FH Excellence Fund. This year, our goal is to have 1,700 gifts during the FH Month of Giving who collectively give $450,000, bringing us closer to our annual goal of $825,000 for the FH Excellence Fund. The cumulative effect of donor support is an impact of $475 per student!
Gifts made during the FH Month of Giving are important in a few ways. First, your gift will be posted in near real-time on our FH Month of Giving platform where it will help your chapter advance on the leaderboards. Your giving will also help unlock special Challenge Gifts throughout the month, meaning your participation stands to make a bigger impact than any other month of the year!

Excellence. The last letter of the FARMHOUSE acronym and the place we need to start, together.
This is a crucial time for the Fraternity and a collaborative approach is required for our shared challenges. That is why the FarmHouse Foundation partners with the International Fraternity to address the tough environment on college campuses today by raising unrestricted financial resources to fully-fund grants and shared services for the Fraternity this fiscal year and into the future. Your unrestricted support makes this possible through the FarmHouse Excellence Fund.
Your investment in the FarmHouse Excellence Fund helps bridge the gap between the services the Fraternity provides through membership dues and the rising costs of values-based education and leadership experiences.
Contributions to the FarmHouse Excellence Fund also support local volunteers, alumni engagement, a leading headquarters staff, operations and administration of the FarmHouse Foundation, as well as build an endowment for future and emerging needs. Most importantly, your philanthropy transforms the future—of FarmHouse, all fraternities and the leaders our world so desperately needs.
Your Faith in your Fraternity and your unrestricted support will ensure Excellence in FarmHouse continues for the next generation.
Your donation to the FarmHouse Excellence Fund will help support FarmHouse men for years to come. Your gift today will immediately enable the Fraternity to…
- strengthen each chapter member though investments in growth and innovation;
- advance premier leadership training and personal development programs accessible to all members;
- create curriculum and resources to provide consistent, values-based member education to ensure the same, positive experience for all chapters and young men;
- sends members of your chapter to leadership conferences such as the FarmHouse Leadership Institute, the Power of 7 Seminar, the Emerging Talent Retreat and Conclave for hands-on training and personal development;
- ensure staff and resources to implement values-based programs and educational opportunities;
- enhance risk management education for chapter advisors, association leaders and undergraduate members;
- enable the Fraternity staff to provide enhanced and relevant training, coaching and support to students and volunteers throughout the academic year;
- fund relevant research chapters can use to make informed decisions about the experience they provide;
- offset educational expenses for FH conferences so registration fees are affordable for attendees;
- provide health and safety education programs to take care of the young men in each chapter and protect the assets donors invested in;
- and, ultimately, help ensure the positive FarmHouse experience continues on.
While we know all donors give out of their pride for FarmHouse, we recognize a prize sounds nice, too, and maybe bragging rights as the winning chapter. Again in 2026, chapter’s will be divided into two groups: those with 500 living members and those with less. Division winners for most total donors and dollars raised will receive a catered brotherhood event or tailgate complete with FREE food prepared by professional chefs, courtesy of FH Month of Giving sponsors Greek House Chefs.
A challenge is when a donor offers to give a certain amount if we are able to either raise a certain amount or meet a certain number of donors. A match is when a donor agrees to match dollar-for-dollar gifts made by other donors.
All gifts made should count towards challenge or match that has not been fulfilled yet. If there are multiple challenges available, the gift may count towards two challenges. For example, if a donor from Iowa State made a gift on April 1, that gift would count towards the Iowa State Match, the Kick-Off Challenge, as well as the Greek House Chefs Challenge.
Your support is greatly appreciated! However, FH Month of Giving participation is limited to gifts to the FH Excellence Fund made between April 1-30 (or earmarked ahead of time specifically for the occasion). Chapters who join the Ruby Society before or during the FH Month of Giving will be included as donors.
The FH Month of Giving is an almost entirely digital effort – that means we need your help! Please consider reaching out to brothers and family to share your gift and encourage them to join you – you can even set up your own challenge on the platform!
We also invite you to follow FarmHouse on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Stay engaged and involved by sharing FarmHouse’s posts on these social media platforms and by making your own.
The FH Month of Giving is a time for all FH members to connect, engage and celebrate one another. Here are some ways you can get involved:
- Serve as a Helping Hand and share about this exciting day and encourage all of your followers and supporters to give.
- Join the Ruby Society, the undergraduate giving program with a gift of $10 or more.
- Give a one-time gift during the FH Month of Giving.
