RESOURCES
Chapters & Officers
To support our chapters, we have compiled a list of resources that may help you with chapter management and meetings. The first set of resources are general guiding documents for chapters, while the second section contains position descriptions and resources for each individual officer position.
CHAPTER RESOURCES
Here are some documents that may be useful for all chapter members and officers. For position-specific resources, please see the next section.
How to Identify a Chapter Advisor
A helpful guide for seeking and selecting suitable advisor candidates.
Robert’s Rules of Order
Robert’s Rules of Order is a manual of parliamentary procedure that governs most organizations with boards of directors. Please this reference helpful guide if you will be overseeing a meeting and are unfamiliar with motions or procedure. Meeting facilitators with little experience may find it helpful to keep a cheat sheet on parliamentary procedure at their fingertips during a meeting.
Mental Health Resources
FarmHouse Fraternity takes your mental health seriously. We have compiled this list of resources to help our members in time of need.
New Member Education Modules
In Fall 2020, the Fraternity began piloting a virtual new member education curriculum. Covering topics such as FarmHouse’s Ritual, History and Organization Civics, the six-week new member education program is designed in a blended learning model that includes individual instruction, peer discussion and real-world application. Each new member is expected to complete all modules on time and participate in each new member education meeting.
Excelsior
Excelsior is the Fraternity’s minimum expectations program and also informs Fraternity Awards each year. Chapters are expected to complete all one-star achievements each semester, and are encouraged to complete as many achievements as possible. Each chapter has their own Google sheet to track Excelsior progress, and the full list of achievements is linked below.
OFFICER RESOURCES
FarmHouse Fraternity staff has assembled chapter officer and advisor descriptions and resources for you. While the name may not match the exact title at your campus, you should see a similar position listed below. Additionally, we have created a transition document for chapter officers.
