FarmHouse is My Home
WHY I GIVE
Continuing the tradition of FarmHouse, remembering a loved one, giving back to something that changed your life…each day we hear a new reason you chose to make a gift to the FarmHouse Foundation. Share your reason by emailing us.
In April 2016, the South Dakota State chapter celebrated their 50th Anniversary and dedicated a brand-new, 15,400-square-foot chapter house. This impressive new facility was completed in January so that members could move in for the Spring 2016 semester. More than $985,000 has been raised for the $2 million project.
“I am ecstatic to be living in our new house. No home is complete without a family, and FarmHouse is the family I needed at college. While the house was under construction, we still lived together—on campus—but it paled in comparison to being able to live as a family in this awesome new home.”
—Taylor Thooft (SD ’13)
“I supported the SDSU building campaign because FarmHouse has had a large impact on my life and the life of my extended family. It is a priority for us, and if something is a priority, you should support it financially to the level you can.”
—Ken Converse (SD ’81)
“FarmHouse means a lot to me because no matter how far away from home I am, I feel like I have a family right here on campus. My brothers will always be willing to help me when I need it. FarmHouse has enhanced my life through many different ways. One of these is helping me grow into the man that I always wanted to be while also getting good grades, and I wouldn’t be able to do it without the help of my brothers.” —Daniel Bechen (SD ’13)
“I think Howard would be so happy for this new home for the SDSU chapter. I’m happy to support the project—I think that’s how we get good things done…pay it forward.” —Kay Hesby
