FarmHouse International Executive Board Announces CEO Transition
August 2, 2022
Following more than five years of service to FarmHouse Fraternity, Chief Executive Officer Christian Wiggins and the International Board of Directors, are announcing a planned transition and search for a new chief staff officer.
Outgoing President of the International Executive Board, Gabriel Eckert, had this to say about Wiggins, “We are very grateful for Christian’s leadership throughout the past five years. The Fraternity has expanded to new campuses, reestablished a strong chapter where we were originally founded at the University of Missouri, created new educational and leadership programs for chapter members and our Fraternity has thrived throughout the pandemic.”
In announcing his departure Wiggins shared, “It has been a pleasure to work for FarmHouse and assist the Fraternity in advancing their long-time pledge to be a Builder of Men. During our time together, we have ensured that Progress Shall Mark Our Every Step and embrace the unique founding values of the Fraternity. One of the most meaningful takeaways from this role will be the genuine relationships I have built with many students, alumni and volunteers. I look forward to seeing all the Fraternity can accomplish under the leadership of the next CEO.”
Wiggins began service to FarmHouse Fraternity on June 1, 2017, following more than 11 years with Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity including more than nine of those as Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure with FarmHouse, Wiggins has:
Grew the Fraternity’s assets by 260%
Led the modernization of the organization’s data and technology infrastructure
Redesigned the staffing model and hired an industry-wide respected team
Retooled the student and volunteer educational offering and doubled attendance for programs
Repositioned the brand to lean into its roots and provide resources to chapters
Led the organization through the COVID pandemic with one of the lowest student attrition rates among national fraternities
Worked with the FarmHouse Foundation to more than double financial support for the Fraternity’s educational programs and staff
FarmHouse Foundation Executive Director and CEO Allison Rickels shared, “Christian strategically assisted in growing the FH Excellence Fund through his creative ideas for rebranding the Foundation’s annual giving program and storytelling for giving. His work has directly impacted the Fraternity’s educational programs funded by unrestricted gifts. He helped cultivate new donors and fostered long-time donor relationships. In doing so, the Foundation has been able to more than double the educational grants to the Fraternity, which now equates to over one-third of the Fraternity’s annual budget.”
Wiggins is a member of the North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) Governing Council and recently completed two terms as chairman of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) Foundation.
Wiggins completes his service as FarmHouse’s sixth executive director in the Fraternity’s 117-year history. More information on the leadership search for Wiggins’ successor will be provided in the next few weeks along with a position announcement from the International Executive Board. The search will be chaired by International Executive Board Director John Foltz (OH 79). Wiggins has agreed to remain in the role until a new executive director is in place.
I am very grateful for the leadership Christian has provided over the past five years. Christian has placed FarmHouse on a firm foundation with outstanding educational programs, strong chapter support, exceptional staff and the most stable financial position in the Fraternity’s history. This excellent foundation will allow FarmHouse to build men of good moral character for service to the world for generations to come.
Fraternally,
President, International Executive Board
