The Director of Education and Leadership Development shall be a direct report to the CEO of the Fraternity. The position is responsible for the organization’s education philosophy, content generation and delivery/execution. More specifically, the position will develop all content for existing and future leadership conferences, new member and total member education, emerging chapter education, risk prevention programming, and volunteer and staff development.

Experience Required
  • Education program facilitation.
  • Curriculum development for programs and conferences.
  • Event planning and execution including but not limited to budget management.
  • Ability to train other staff and volunteers on program delivery.
  • Strong multitasker with ability to manage several conferences at a time.
  • Ability to create assessments and gather and analyze data from programs.
  • Ability to take data and industry trends and adapt programs based on feedback.
  • Strong communication skills, including a focus on public speaking and written communication.
  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to resolve issues and problems with little oversight and direction.
  • Strong inclination to collaborate and a committed team player.
  • Reflect a professional disposition and customer-service oriented manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or in field of study where curriculum development is a key deliverable of the program.
Experience Preferred
  • Experience in producing manuals or other instructional material.
  • Work experience in fraternity/sorority life.
  • Volunteer or professional experience in leadership organizations (ex. FFA, 4-H, FBLA, etc.).
  • Master’s degree in student affairs, education or field of study where curriculum development is a key deliverable of the program.
  • Membership in FarmHouse Fraternity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Existing and Future Leadership Conferences
    • Reviews and adapt curriculum for current conferences.
    • In alignment with the organization’s strategy, develop new education and leadership programs for students, volunteers and alumni.
    • Responsible for project management of all conferences.
    • Develops and manages budgets for all conferences.
  • New Member and Total Member Education
  • Emerging Chapter Education
    • Revises current Colony Readiness and Preperation (CROP) curriculum to meet needs of new expansion model.
    • Trains staff on revised CROP.
    • Creates post-expansion education resources for emerging chapter leaders.
  • Risk Prevention and Other Chapter-Based Educational Programming
    • Reviews and revises organization’s risk prevention programming strategy.
    • Collaborates with Director of Chapter Services and Fraternity Growth to identify current programming gaps and develop curriculum to be delivered by staff and volunteers.
    • Collaborates with Director of Alumni Engagement and Volunteer Support to recruit a team of volunteers sufficient to deliver programming needs.
  • Volunteer Development
    • Reviews current volunteer education model and makes recommendations to Fraternity team on future volunteer resources needed.
    • Responsible for development and execution of content for volunteer education academy.
    • Creates tools such as webinars for remote learning.
    • Supports the Director of Alumni Engagement and Volunteer Support in educating local volunteers with international resources.
  • Staff Development
    • Responsible for developing and approving through CEO all individual staff development plans.
    • Collaborates with CEOs to organize and execute all-staff and team retreats.
    • Fulfills other duties as assigned by the CEOs
