FarmHouse Closes Idaho Chapter

February 10, 2021

In December 2020, FarmHouse Fraternity and the Idaho FarmHouse Association made the difficult decision to close the chapter at the University of Idaho. The Fraternity, Association and the University of Idaho are all committed to bringing back the Idaho chapter to continue the long-standing legacy we have at the University. We have entered into an agreement to pursue a fall 2022 re-establishment and will begin our recruitment efforts at that time.

While this decision was not easy, both the Fraternity and the Association saw low membership numbers and morale from the chapter that made it difficult to persist, especially amidst challenges related to COVID-19. This closure is not due to chapter misconduct.

“While the closure is unfortunate, we are excited for the future of FarmHouse at the University of Idaho,” said Christian Wiggins, FarmHouse International Fraternity CEO. “The Idaho FarmHouse Association and the University have been great partners in this process and we look forward to the successful return fall of 2022.”

The Association is working on plans to make improvements to the chapter facility prior to their return to campus, and may pursue a sub-lease to another organization in the interim. More details and information related to the return will be shared when available.
