The seminal leadership program of the Fraternity is the annual FarmHouse Leadership Institute. Each January, for over 25 years, select chapter officers have attended this four-day institute at the beginning of their officer term. Arriving new and unsure of their role, they leave empowered and enabled with the leadership skills necessary to take on their respective leadership role. Facilitated by a team of staff and small group volunteers, this program is a hallmark of the FarmHouse member leadership program experience.
Nearly all costs for FLI are underwritten by the generosity of the FarmHouse Foundation. Attendees are responsible for meals while traveling to/from Kansas City as well as dinner on Saturday evening during the “open night.”
The 2020 Institute will be held January 2-5, 2020, in Kansas City. Newly-elected officers should register through myHerdBook by following instructions provided to your chapter. Registrations received after November 21 will be ineligible for paid travel. Participants not registered by December 6 will be assessed a full fine of $800 per unregistered participant.
