About the Challenge
What is the FarmHouse Undergraduate Challenge?
The FarmHouse Undergraduate Challenge was created to give chapters a chance to support the educational programs and projects that the Foundation helps fund for the Fraternity and compete to see who has the most “loyal” members.
How much do I have to donate?
We are appreciative of gifts of any size, but only gifts of $10 or more per person will be included in the Challenge. Just think - a gift of $10 is less than the cost of a Fraternity t-shirt or a night out. However, it is not the amount of the gift that matters, but your participation in this program. Every gift makes a difference! The more participation your chapter has the better!
What does the money go to?
Your donation will be designated for the “Strengths Quest” leadership program for the Regional Leadership Conferences Fund. Every RLC participant will receive this leadership program and online resources during the presentation and the program, which is open to all undergraduate members to attend. Every chapter will advance because of your gift! In 2007, 309 undergraduates donated a total of $3,130, which supported the “Leadership Spectrum” RLC program.
How does my chapter benefit from my gift?
Individually for your donation of $10 or more, you will receive a “Builder of Men” FarmHouse silicone bracelet as a token of our appreciation. First time donors will also receive the symbolic Undergraduate Challenge giving pin. You will also be named in the Foundation's 2008 Annual Report and on the Challenge's website.
Your chapter will also receive recognition for your gift. Each chapter will be recognized for their members' gifts on the website, in the Annual Report and at the 2008 Conclave. There are three levels of recognition:
§ Gold level: 100% participation
• 2 bonus points for the Chapter Award of Excellence
• Will receive a special plaque at Conclave
• Recognized in the Foundation's Annual Report in Pearls & Rubies and on the
Foundation's website
§ Silver level: 75% or more participation
• 2 bonus points toward Chapter Award of Excellence
• Will receive a plaque at Conclave
• Recognized in the Foundation's Annual Report in Pearls & Rubies and on
the Foundation's website
§ Bronze level: 50% or more participation
• 1 bonus point toward Chapter Award of Excellence
• Will receive a plaque at Conclave
• Recognized in the Foundation's Annual Report in Pearls & Rubies and on
the Foundation's website
How can I make a gift?
Gifts of cash via currency, personal check, credit card, money order, or bank draft are the most popular methods of supporting FarmHouse. To make a gift you can:
